What happens on the day?
Once you’ve made a booking we will keep you in the loop every step of the way. You will get notifications about your tech’s ETA on the day of your appointment.
We’ll unbox your new dryer, disconnect and remove the old one (as needed), then we’ll mount or stack it and connect your new appliance to existing power.
Our technician will test your dryer to make sure everything is working as it should and provide a brief demonstration of the main features of your new appliance.

We offer a dryer installation for all major brands, whether you’ve got an LG, Samsung, Fisher & Paykel or something else.
While on the day of your dryer installation appointment we will cart away the packaging from your new washing machine or dryer and recycle it (whenever possible) – if you’d like to dispose of your old appliance or any other electronics, you will need to book a collection via our e-waste program for an additional fee. It’s easy to organise and your old appliance will be disposed of responsibly.
If your dryer installation requires something unexpected, such as minor cabinetry work, that’s no worries! Simply ask for a quote. Our dryer installation technician will finalise the prices of any extra work (if applicable) for sign-off before starting your installation.
In Australia, we can only legally install an appliance if your existing electrical connection complies with State regulations. We can arrange for this connection to be brought up to standard if needed, however this will be at your own cost and arranged through tech2’s partner contractor. Your dryer installation date may need to be deferred to a later date, depending on the level of work required.
Please note: Our dryer installation fees are non-refundable in the case that an electrical installation upgrade is declined because it does not meet State requirements.
It’s not always possible to for our dryer installation technician to simply swap over the old appliance for the new one if they’re not the same dimensions or make – there may be some retrofitting required. We ensure that you’re fully aware of the final dryer installation cost upfront. If any additional work is needed, your technician will finalise the prices of any extra work (if applicable) for sign-off before starting your dryer installation. If you would like your dryer wall mounted, please check there is a wall mount included with your dryer or you will need to purchase one separately, as our technicians do not stock them.
We will safely disconnect your old dryer (if applicable), inspect for damage and clean the area before your dryer installation begins. The appliance will be connected to power. Your dryer install may involve some other work such as minor cabinetry work, or adding new power points or power circuits. Perhaps you need dryer piping or extra work for a vented dryer installation? No worries! If any extra work is needed, your technician will let you know the cost of any extra work before starting the installation. Your technician will take special care with any additional work and make sure your new dryer is safely secured in place and everything is working exactly as it should before the dryer installation job is complete.
